I had lunch with a doctor friend of mine recently. He told me something shocking.

A study from Cairo’s National Research Center found that CoQ10 improved insulin sensitivity in diabetic rats.Another study published in the Journal of Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders looked at subjects with type 2 diabetes. For 12 weeks, some were given CoQ10 while the others were given a placebo. At the study’s end, the CoQ10 group had had much lower fasting-glucose and A1C levels.[v] [vi]
  • Youthful skin. A study from the Paul Gerson Unna Research Center in Hamburg, Germany, found CoQ10 applied topically reduced skin wrinkles. The scientists concluded that the compound can combat the skin-aging effects of sunlight.[vii] [viii]

CoQ10 can be purchased from nutrition stores and online. It’s available in pills as well as in creams and lotions for applying to the skin.
